Moving to April: AUN-QA PA Overview: 450th, 443rd, 449th

AUN-QA continues its strong presence in The Philippines and Viet Nam throughout the weeks ending March and the start of April with 3 more programme assessments (PA) for a total of 10 study programmes. In the last week of March on the 24th to the 26th, the 450th AUN-QA PA was conducted at De La Salle University (DLSU), which also served as a live assessment observation for participants at the 18th AUN-QA Assessor Training (Tier 2) that took place around the same time on 20 - 26 March 2025. 

Then to start off April, the focus is set towards Viet Nam with 2 PAs conducted in the country with the 443rd PA at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and the 449th AUN-QA PA at Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH). Not only that, but later on 21 - 24 April, IUH will also be conducting the 15th AUN-QA Institutional Assessment.

  • The 450th AUN-QA PA at DLSU saw 3 bachelors study programmes assessed while also opening their doors for participants of the 18th AUN-QA Tier 2 training to observe the assessments live.
  • The first assessment of April, throughout 1st to the 3rd of the month, saw the 443rd PA at HUST, with 4 study programmes assessed.
  • This was followed by the 449th AUN-QA at IUH on 8 - 10 April, with 3 study programmes assessed.

450th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at De La Salle University (DLSU)

University Overview:

De La Salle University is a private non-profit higher education institution established in 1911 by the Catholic order Brothers of the Christian Schools (FSC). Its student population comprises about 12,000 undergraduates and 5,000 postgraduates distributed across seven colleges (Business, Computer Studies, Education, Engineering, Liberal Arts, Science, Law) and one school (Economics). DLSU employs about 1,300 academic staff with a full-time equivalent of 895. It is governed by an independent Board of Trustees and managed by a Central Administration. Today, the University offers 76 baccalaureate programmes, together with 132 programmes in the graduate school.

 

In 2020, DLSU was the top-ranked PH university in the Times Higher Education Subject Rankings for Business and Economics, Engineering and Technology, Computer Science, and Physical Sciences; and joint-top in Social Sciences.

This was DLSU’s 11th Programme Assessment and their 11th onsite Programme Assessment with AUN-QA.

 

443rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST)

We also have the numbers of undergraduate programme which accredited and assessed by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur (CTI) and the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance (AUN-QA)

This was HUST’s 9th Programme Assessment and their 5th onsite Programme Assessment with AUN-QA.

 

449th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH)

University Overview:

As an educational body paving its path toward excellence, formerly founded as Go Vap Vocational School by Don Bosco priests on November 11, 1956, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) has made remarkable improvements and considerable transformations in all of its aspects. It was officially recognized as Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City in 2004 by the Prime Minister, the university has significantly developed to become one of the biggest educational and training institutions in Vietnam. Valuable long-time experience in vocational training has also advantaged the university to grow in the application orientation. It can be misleading to connect the school’s name with the training programmes it provides because besides those in the fields of engineering and technology, the university has managed to diversify its training to cater for the society’s needs of human resource in economic and social areas. There are a total of 19 faculties.
