AUN-QA Overview: 301st and 302nd AUN-QA Programme Assessments

301st AUN-QA Programme Assessment at the University of Danang (UD)

  • The 301st AUN-QA Programme Assessment (online/remote site visit) was held at UD, Viet Nam, from 31 October - 4 November 2022. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:

  1. Bachelor in Mathematics Teacher Education, (The University of Danang - University of Science and Education)

  2. Bachelor in Philology Teacher Education, (The University of Danang - University of Science and Education)

  3. Bachelor in Chemistry Teacher Education, (The University of Danang - University of Science and Education)

  4. Bachelor in Oriental Studies, (The University of Danang - University of Foreign Language Studies)

  • UD is under the Ministry of Education and Training.

  • UD was established in 1994, It is now a national key university and a multi-disciplinary university with 6 member universities and 7 affiliated training units. As of November 2021, it has a total of 31 accredited educational programs by national and international accreditation organizations, in which 28 programs are accredited internationally. Over recent years, UD has been ranked amongst Viet Nam’s top ten universities. With this achievement, its mission is to continue to affirm its international quality and prestige, making an important contribution to the process of internationalization and innovation in the national higher education.

  • This was UD’s 9th Programme Assessment and their 4th online/remote site visit Programme Assessment with AUN-QA.

302nd AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Can Tho University (CTU)

  • The 302nd AUN-QA Programme Assessment (online/remote site visit) was held at CTU, Viet Nam, from 7 - 11 November 2022. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:

  1. Bachelor of Engineering in Plant Protection

  2. Bachelor in Applied Mathematics

  3. Master in Mathematical Analysis

  4. Bachelor of Engineering in Aquaculture (advanced programme)

  • CTU is under the Ministry of Education and Training.

  • CTU was established in 1966 with the original name of Can Tho Institute of Higher Learning and, later, changed to its current name in 1975. It is currently the national key university and known as the center of cultures, sciences and technologies of the Mekong Detla region (MDR). CTU is the driving force that has a decisive influence on the development of the MDR in Viet Nam. In total, the university currently offers 109 bachelor’s, 48 master’s and 19 doctoral training programmes. Its strongest majors belong to Agriculture, Aquaculture, Technology and Environment. CTU is ranked in the top 351-400 universities in Agriculture and Forestry (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021)

  • This was CTU’s 5th Programme Assessment and their 3rd online/remote site visit Programme Assessment with AUN-QA.
