A Strong First Month for 2024, AUN-QA Overview: 372nd, 373rd, and 374th Programme Assessment

The busy month of January 2024 is now concluding with three more AUN-QA Programme Assessments (PA), which includes 10 programmes assessed, having been successfully conducted. Below are the details of the 372nd PA with De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde in The Philippines, the 373rd PA with Mahidol University in Thailand, and the 374th PA with Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya in Indonesia.

Description:

De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB or Benilde) is a nonstock, non-profit organization offering secondary and tertiary education in Manila and Antipolo, Philippines. Benilde was founded in 1988 and is a member of De La Salle Philippines. From its humble beginnings as a night school for working students, the College continues to blaze trails for innovative educational programs with a thrust on learner centered educational philosophy. Benilde is known for pioneering degree programs that were not considered career viable decades ago and hence, were not offered in other colleges and universities. Today, we are recognized for our innovation and we continue to offer non-traditional programs that are responsive to established industries and emerging fields of specializations in Deaf applied studies, design and arts, hotel and tourism, business, and diplomatic affairs.

This was DLS-CSB/Benilde’s 2nd Programme Assessment and their 1st onsite Programme Assessment with AUN-QA.

Description:

Mahidol University has been living a long history for over 129 years since the establishment of “Siriraj Hospital” in 1888, then developed to a medical school in the next year. The name was bestowed upon by His Late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej after His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla. Mahidol University has continued to progress in all aspects to stay relevant and conform to the rapidly changing world and society. The significant role of the university is to produce quality graduates, who are knowledgeable in their chosen fields and mindful of morality, to serve as human capital for the country’s current development. All strategies are aligned with Mahidol University’s aspiration towards a world class university. The university’s current milestone is being ranked as the top university in the region and No.1 in Thailand.

This was MU’s 11th Programme Assessment and their 9th onsite Programme Assessment with AUN-QA.

Description:

The Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 (Untag) Surabaya is the first private university in the Indonesian province of East Java. Untag Surabaya, which was founded on August 17, 1958 in Surabaya, Indonesia, aspires to become a nationally and internationally renowned institution of higher learning. Faculty of Social Science and Political Science, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics and Business, Faculty of Psychology, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Humanities, and Faculty of Vocational are the current faculties at Untag Surabaya. The seven faculties offer 17 undergraduate programs, three vocational study programs, seven master's programs, three doctoral programs, and three undergraduate programs for international students. More than 360 partner institutions comprise Untag Surabaya's international collaborators. More than 1,000 faculty members and over 14,000 undergraduate and graduate students reside at Untag Surabaya.
