On 23 - 24 March 2024, the AUN-QA Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) Redesign Working Group convened once again to proceed with further refinement of the draft model constructed from the Working Groups’s first meeting back in January.

The taskforce consisted of the following six members:

  1. Dr. Arnulfo P. Azcarraga, De La Salle University, the Philippines (Group Leader) AUN-QA Green Jacket Lead Assessor
  2. Prof. Dr. Satria Bijaksana, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia, Deputy Chairperson of AUN-QA Council
  3. Prof. Dr. Suzeini Binti Abd Halim, Malaysia, AUN-QA Lead Assessor
  4. Assoc. Prof. Chavalit Wongse-ek, Mahidol University, Thailand, Deputy Chairperson of AUN-QA Council

The second meeting of the Working Group was vital towards refining the components for the AUN-QA IQA model. The key components and subcomponents that are contained in the model were given another thorough check for redundancies and making sure each component of the model serves a clear and important purpose that aims to accommodate the various contexts of universities in ASEAN. The visual design of the model also underwent further polishing to ensure that the communication of the design is clear and easy to understand.

With a clear picture set by the Working Group, AUN-QA will be assisting in finalizing an AUN-QA IQA Model that will be ready to undergo review from AUN-QA council members, advisors, and technical experts in the next few months.

Completion of the Revision of the AUN-QA IQA Model will ensure that AUN-QA will have a model that can serve to be an effective and comprehensive guide in assisting universities to operationalize and enhance their IQA systems.
