The AUN-QA IQA Redesign Taskforce Team Assembled to Set the Path Forward for ASEAN IQA

Earlier this year, AUN conducted an Internal Quality Assurance System Design and Development Workshop in Viet Nam. As a result of the workshop, AUN-QA established the IQA Redesign Taskforce with the sole purpose of analyzing IQA frameworks of higher education institutions (HEI). In this connection, the Taskforce will be able to determine the appropriate steps to take towards enhancing IQA systems for universities.

As such, the AUN-QA IQA Redesign Taskforce convened for the first time on 20 - 21 October 2023 to reflect on the root-cause analysis resulting from the aforementioned workshop in Viet Nam and carefully study existing IQA frameworks and systems in Viet Nam and Cambodia, as well as AUN-QA’s own IQA framework. This two-day meeting has provided the analysis and discussion necessary for the taskforce to set a clear path for the future work of the taskforce, including key points of discussion for the next IQA System Design and Development Workshop, which is currently slated for Hanoi, Viet Nam early next year. The meeting also firmly noted the proposal on the IQA development in CLM countries and discussed plans to create a working group for “IQA Model Revision”.
