AUN-QA Overview: 290th, 291st AUN-QA Programme Assessments

290th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Hoa Sen University (HSU)


The 290th AUN-QA Programme Assessment (online/remote site visit) was held at HSU, Viet Nam, from 22 - 26 August 2022. Three study programmes were assessed, namely:

 

  1. The Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering
  2. The Bachelor of Arts in Travel and Tourism Management
  3. The Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design


Hoa Sen University was founded in 1991, during a period of economic and social transition as Vietnam began the process of integrating with the global economy. The aim is that after graduation, students will become more employable, maintain their job performance, keep improving themselves, and possess the capability of performing efficiently in the global workforce.

291st AUN-QA Programme Assessment at University of the Philippines (UP)


The 291st AUN-QA Programme Assessment (online/remote site visit) was held at UP, the Philippines, from 29 August - 2 September 2022. Three study programmes were assessed, namely:

 

  1. Bachelor of Science in Statistics (UP Diliman)
  2. Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (UP Baguio)
  3. Bachelor of Science in Management Economics (UP Baguio)


The University of the Philippines was founded on 18 June 1908 through Act No. 1870 of the Philippine Assembly. On 29 April 2008, Republic Act No. 9500 known as “The University of the Philippines Charter of 2008” was signed into law. UP was declared as the national university and mandated to “perform its unique and distinctive leadership in higher education and development”. UP is now a university system composed of eight constituent universities spread in 21 campuses across the archipelago. It stays committed to performing its multiple mandates as a lead university in setting academic standards and initiating innovations in teaching research and faculty development; graduate university; research university; public service university; and regional and global university.
