"Management and Strategy: How AUN-HPN Became a Driving Force for Regional Health Promotion" Has Officially Launched

For nearly a decade since its establishment in 2014, ASEAN University Network Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) has been spearheading the regional efforts among AUN universities to promote healthy environments in campi and society at large through the development of qualification and standardisation tools, collaborative research projects, as well as establishing  sibling national and sub-regional network to contribute to AUN-HPN’s ambition. Hosted by Mahidol University, Thailand, the goal of the thematic network has been to serve as a regional network of academic collaboration between health practitioners, experts and higher education institutions – all with the focus on the role of universities in promoting health across various sectors of the society. 

Currently, AUN-HPN membership includes 30 AUN Member Universities along with 10 Associate Member Universities from 5 ASEAN countries, and Osaka University from Japan.

To catalogue the good practices arising from the network’s ever-evolving management and strategy, the AUN Secretariat is proud to announce the official publishing of "Management and Strategy: How AUN-HPN Became a Driving Force for Regional Health Promotion". This book observes the strong foundation and strategy of AUN-HPN through the work of Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, one of the network’s founders as well as its first executive director, along with thoughts and perspectives from the thematic network’s panel of thought leaders. Beyond that, the book also delves into the development and success of AUN-HPN flagship and networking activities, comprehensively extracting critical innovative strategies which were not only present in the past, but also reflective of the network’s future.
