AUN-QA Overview: 286th, 287th, 288th, & 289th AUN-QA Programme Assessments

286th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Naresuan University (NU)

The 286th AUN-QA Programme Assessment (online/remote site visit) was held at NU, Thailand, from 1 - 5 August 2022. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:

  1. Bachelor of Arts Program in Tourism
  2. Bachelor of Communication Arts Program
  3. Master of Arts Program in Tourism and Hospitality Management
  4. Master of Communication Arts Program in Communication

NU was established in 1990 and located in Thailand with the vision to be well recognized at national and international levels as a faculty distinctive in its academic, research, and innovative excellence. NU is determined to enhance the quality and potential of graduates that enable them to take the knowledge and integrate it into developing the community and, ultimately, the nation.

This was NU’s 2nd Programme Assessment and their 1st online/remote site visit Programme Assessment with AUN-QA.

287th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Viet Nam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM)

The 287th AUN-QA Programme Assessment (online/remote site visit) was held at VNUHCM, Viet Nam, from 8 - 12 August 2022. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:

  1. Bachelor of Arts in Travel and Tourism Management
  2. Bachelor of Arts in Sociology
  3. Bachelor of Information Technology
  4. Bachelor of Engineering in Information Security

Established by the government in 1995, VNUHCM serves as the core of the higher education system and is dedicated to the needs of socio-economic developments. The university is the training center for undergraduates, postgraduates, and science research, following high-quality and innovative multidisciplinary technology.

This was VNUHCM’s 21st Programme Assessment and their 5th online/remote site visit Programme Assessment with AUN-QA.

288th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Holy Angel University (HAU)

The 288th AUN-QA Programme Assessment (online/remote site visit) was held at HAU, the Philippines, from 15 - 19 August 2022. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:

  1. Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
  2. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  3. Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  4. Master of Science in Nursing

Founded in 1933, HAU is the first Catholic university in the Philippines that was established by the laity. It envisions itself to become a role-model catalyst for countryside development and one of the most influential, best-managed Catholic universities in the Asia-Pacific region. A private, not-for-profit institution, HAU offers accessible quality education that transforms students into persons of conscience, competence, and compassion.

This was HAU’s 3rd Programme Assessment and their 2nd online/remote site visit Programme Assessment with AUN-QA.

289th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS)

The 289th AUN-QA Programme Assessment (online/remote site visit) was held at UNIMAS, Malaysia, from 15 - 19 August 2022. Three study programmes were assessed, namely:

  1. Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics with Honours
  2. Bachelor in Finance with Honours
  3. Bachelor in Business Management (Marketing) with Honours

Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) was established in 1993 and currently has 11 faculties, nine research centers, and six research institutes. The University has active alliances with various local and international institutions, focusing on, but not necessarily limited to research and works in its three niche areas: biotechnology research in epidemiology, biogeography, and agriculture; ICT, especially on rural communication and image analysis; and biodiversity, natural resource, and environmental management.
