Hue University (HU) has been an AUN-QA Member University since 2015, and on 4 - 6 July 2023, AUN-QA had the opportunity to assess the Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Programme from Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Hue UMP). It is a programme that aims to develop graduates with the necessary professional abilities and ethics in the field of Medical Laboratory. AUN-QA is delighted to have been given the opportunity to assess and ensure quality to this programme that will bring forth graduates that will protect, care, and improve the health of people throughout Vietnam and even beyond!

AUN-QA has member universities that have been part of the family for many years and counting that actively engage with AUN-QA activities like workshops or with plenty of Programme Assessments from us well under their belt. In this week of AUN-QA PA overview you will find familiar names Mahidol University (MU) for the 334th PA and Can Tho University (CTU) for the 336th PA. For the 335th PA, it is Hue University’s (HU) first ever Programme Assessment with AUN-QA. They have been part of the AUN-QA member universities for many years, participating in various AUN-QA workshops, and we are excited to expand our collaborative activities to programme assessments as well with HU!

Quality Assessment is an intricate process that requires robust guidelines and clear instructions to direct such an activity. That is why the Guide to AUN-QA Quality Assessment at Institutional Level aims to provide quality assessment systems to ensure top quality higher education in ASEAN. As such, the AUN-QA team is proud to announce the launch of the Guide to AUN-QA Quality Assessment at Institutional Level Version 3.0!

The AUN-QA team has got a bit of an extended overview covering 3 weeks in June 2023 going over the 331st, 332nd, and 333rd programme assessments. So far it has been quite the month of milestones! The University of Danang conducted their 10th programme assessment with AUN-QA, along with Prince of Songkla University and Thai Nguyen University having their first on-site visit programme assessments. Now, all PAs are significant steps forward for university programmes, but milestones like these sure does make a PA all the more special!

With each passing year, the landscape of the working world continues to evolve and students from Universities need to be well equipped to face the challenges of today, and the future. Each year the AUN-QA team conducts more than 190 study programmes across the ASEAN region all operated by our large roster of 157 official AUN-QA Assessors. In response to increasing demands, there is always room for growing the AUN-QA family. The AUN-QA team is always striving for top-notch quality to provide the best assessment results.
