AUN-QA Overview: 245th, 282nd & 283rd AUN-QA Programme Assessments

245th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at the University of Santo Tomas (UST)

  • The 245th AUN-QA Programme Assessment (Online/Remote Site Visit) was   held   at   UST, the Philippines, from 4 – 8 July 2022. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:
  1. Bachelor of Arts in Communication
  2. Bachelor of Arts in Journalism
  3. Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management
  4. Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management
  • UST is one of the leading Catholic private universities in the Philippines offering a large variety of academic programmes contributing to human resource training and development of the country. The university gained national and international recognition for its higher education quality, as evident by UST’s five-star rating from the international education network Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) in 2021. UST was also the first university in the Philippines to have ever obtained this particular ranking.
  • This was the university’s 5th Programme Assessment and their 2nd online/remote site visit Programme Assessment.

282nd AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Nong Lam University (NLU)

  • The 282nd AUN-QA Programme Assessment (Online/Remote Site Visit) was   held   at   NLU, Viet Nam, from 4 – 8 July 2022. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:
  1. Bachelor of Engineering in Aquaculture (AQUA)
  2. Bachelor of Engineering in Agro-Biochemical Engineering (ABCEng)
  3. Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering (EE)
  4. Bachelor of Engineering in Wood Technology (BWT)
  • One of Viet Nam’s leading universities located in the industrial area in Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City, NLU is committed to its mission in pursuing education and training of highly skilled and creative professionals who are capable of doing research, developing and transferring knowledge and technological advances for the national and regional sustainable socio-economic development.
  • This was the university’s 3rd Programme Assessment and their 1st online/remote site visit Programme Assessment.

283rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Prince of Songkla University (PSU)

  • The 283rd AUN-QA Programme Assessment (Online/Remote Site Visit) was   held   at   PSU, Thailand, from 11 – 15 July 2022. Four study programmes were assessed, namely:
  1. Bachelor of Nursing Program (Pattani Campus)
  2. Bachelor of Communication Arts Program (Pattani Campus)
  3. Bachelor of Political Science Program (Pattani Campus)
  4. Master of Science Program in Applied Chemistry (Pattani Campus)
  • PSU was established in 1967 as the first university in southern Thailand. The original aims of the university were to raise the general education standards and support regional industry and development. Currently, the university is renowned as one of Thailand’s leading public universities with commitment to academic excellence, reputable research and innovation. It is one of the nine national research universities and among the top 10 comprehensive universities in Thailand by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS)’ ranking.
  • This was PSU’s 1st Programme Assessment and their 1st online/remote site visit Programme Assessment.
