AUN-QA Overview: 233th, 250th, 251st & 252nd AUN-QA Programme Assessments

233th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI)

The 233th AUN-QA Programme Assessment (Online/Remote Site Visit) was held at UPI, Indonesia, from 6–10 December 2021. Four study programmes were assessed including: 

  1. Undergraduate Programme in English Education
  2. Undergraduate Programme in Civic Education
  3. Undergraduate Programme in Guidance and Counselling
  4. Undergraduate Programme in Community Education

UPI is a comprehensive university offering diverse fields such as educational sciences, education-based disciplines, religion, humanities, and social sciences, both pure and applied sciences. In 2019, UPI was appointed by the Indonesian government to become the Center of Excellence for Vocational Teacher Education (COE for TVET) to support the Indonesian government in their efforts to produce more competent and competitive vocational workers.

This was the university’s 2nd AUN-QA Assessments, and its first online/remote   site   visit.

250th AUN-QA Programme Assessment at An Giang University (AGU)

The 250th AUN-QA Programme Assessment (Online/Remote Site Visit) was held at AGU, Viet Nam, from 6–10 December 2021. Four study programmes were assessed including: 

  1. Bachelor of Food Technology
  2. Bachelor of Information Technology
  3. Bachelor of Literature and Linguistics Teacher Education
  4. Bachelor of English Language Teacher Education

AGU, a member of Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM), is located in the key agriculture production areas of the country. AGU plays the role of a key unit of VNU-HCM in agriculture development and human resources training in the Mekong Delta. With quality accreditation and assurance by agencies such as the AUN-QA, AGU aims to become globally recognized as one of the leading institutions in research and technology transfer for community development. 

This was the university’s 1st AUN-QA Programme Assessment.

251st AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Ho Chi Minh City Open University (HCMCOU)

The 251st AUN-QA Programme Assessment (Online/Remote   Site   Visit) was   held   at   HCMCOU, Viet Nam, from 13 – 17 December 2021. Four study programmes were assessed including: 

  1. Bachelor in Accounting
  2. Bachelor of Arts in Banking and Finance
  3. Bachelor of Arts in English
  4. Bachelor in Computer Science

HCMCOU is one of the leading multi-disciplinary public universities in Viet Nam with application-oriented, knowledge and community cohesion. With high efficiency in delivering higher education on campus and online, HCMCOU is one of the pioneering institutions in Viet Nam to put substantial efforts in providing distance education. This allows the university to contribute to a broad range of the country’s needs of professionals and economic resources, as well as to maintain domestic and international partnerships with universities and other higher education institutions.
  
This was the university’s 1st AUN-QA Programme Assessment.

252nd AUN-QA Programme Assessment at Can Tho University (CTU)

The 252nd AUN-QA Programme Assessment (Online/Remote Site Visit) was held at CTU, Viet Nam, from 13–17 December 2021. Four study programmes were assessed including: 

  1. Bachelor of Engineering in Land Management
  2. Bachelor in Chemistry
  3. Bachelor of Engineering in Crop Science
  4. Bachelor of Engineering in Food Technology

CTU is the Viet Nam’s key university known as a cultural - scientific and technical center of the Mekong Delta Region (MDR). CTU is also a member of the ASEAN University Network (AUN) widely recognized for its excellence in higher education delivery, particularly in the fields of Agriculture, Aquaculture, Technology and Environment. This is evident in its high placement in national and international rankings of higher education; the university ranked at the top 251-300 world universities in Agriculture and Forestry (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2020).

This was CTU’s 4th AUN-QA Programme Assessment, and its second online/remote site visit.
