From 17 to 21 July 2022, official meetings between AUN-QA and four Member Universities were held to explore the current Quality Assurance (QA) prospects in Viet Nam. Four sessions took place at each university, namely Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH), Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education (HCMUTE), Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) and Foreign Trade University (FTU) in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi respectively.

The meetings brought together honorees from academic backgrounds, especially rectors, chancellors, academic staff, and QA staff. The principal focus of the meetings was to determine current trends of the QA movement in Viet Nam and the possibility to integrate appropriate analyses of such information into the AUN-QA work process. The participators of each Member University were asked to provide substantive insights as well as present their significant achievement in terms of QA and quality management.

Furthermore, the AUN Executive Director also introduced the Authentic Assessment under the project led by Tuning Academy at Groningen University Center to all the meetings with the Member Universities. It is a pilot project from the AUN’s European partners about how to assess learning outcomes in three subject areas: Civil Engineering, Medicine and Teacher Education. Thus, the AUN-QA team pushed this forward by sharing this project with its Member Universities.
