The final destinations of the AUN-QA journey in Viet Nam were official meetings between AUN-QA and four Member Universities held to explore the current Quality Assurance (QA) prospects. Four sessions took place at each university, namely Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, and Foreign Trade University (FTU) in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi respectively.

August is coming to an end with AUN-QA coming through to provide two more quality assurance services through the month for ASEAN higher education. For the 290th Programme Assessment, AUN-QA provided service for Hoa Sen University (HSU). For the 291st Programme Assessment, AUN-QA provided service for University of the Philippines (UP).

The 29th of August 2022 marks the monumental launch of ASEAN-India Network of Universities (AINU) by Dr Rajkumar Ranjan Singh, Minister of State for External Affairs and Education (MoS) and the Secretary General of ASEAN, Dato Lim Jock Hoi. The AINU was initiated by Prime Minister Modi during the ASEAN-India Commemorative Summit in New Delhi in January 2018. The event took place in a hybrid format, where on-site participants attended the event at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta, Indonesia. The vision of AINU is to be the “knowledge ecosystem” that will enlarge the scope of collaboration that will build a resource pool of knowledge that can be shared between ASEAN and India.

Continuing the AUN-QA’s journey in Viet Nam – the AUN-QA team used this precious opportunity to set up official meetings with the Quality Assurance Units of the Viet Nam National Universities with aims to learn and discuss more on the prospects of Quality Assurance (QA) and quality management directions in Viet Nam.

Through its ranking/rating data tools that have been in service for a few years, University Performance Metrics (UPM) has proved to ensure comparability in degree and research programmes. Tag along with the AUN-QA team to learn more about the priorities of UPM and of other leading Accreditation Centers in Viet Nam.

AUN-QA welcomes four new Associate Member Universities from four countries across the ASEAN region, namely Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, and Viet Nam. The number of AUN-QA members is continuously growing this year. Thus, AUN-QA would like to extend its gratitude for trusting in the AUN-QA Network.
