Leading ASEAN universities gather to discuss avenues to better collaborate in innovation and entrepreneurship; taking advantage of the resources and opportunities currently existing in our backyard to make real economic progress, truly benefiting the region, in the 4th iteration of the AUN-University Innovation Entrepreneurship (AUN-UIE) at Singapore Management University.

Amidst the alarming rates of environmental concerns in the society today, the AUN-EEC has been a platform to amplify experiences and initiatives that foster the essence of nature and its significance in an individual’s way of life. Several experts have been invited to induce action among individuals, particularly the youth, in exploring processes towards preservation and conservation of nature. Along with their remarks, inspiring studies, stories, and experiences in safeguarding the environment were also a part of the program. These instances are envisions to bring inspiration and motivation to individuals in conserving nature for the future.

Academic librarians in the AUN are facing a time of change and challenge. With budgets tight, digital transformation is on the horizon, collaboration is key. As each country's report unfolds, from Brunei's collaborative empowerment to Vietnam's technology-driven resource management, a coordination of resilience emerges. But the future remains a tantalizing enigma, fraught with questions of technology adoption, student-centricity, and skill upgradation. With libraries at the forefront of learning evolution, a pivotal question lingers: Will these esteemed institutions of higher education embrace and utilize the forces of change, or will they find themselves overcome by the currents of transformation? Explore how ASEAN library professionals are shaping the future of academic collaboration. Hosted by Universiti Putra Malaysia, the 18th AUNILO Meeting unveiled key proposals, strategic plans, and discussions on vital network matters. Notably, the event featured a formal handover of the Secretariat role from the Philippines to Singapore, marking a significant transition. Witness the dynamic exchange of ideas and initiatives aimed at fostering innovation, unity, and academic impact across the region.

Three REd-UC consortium projects as kick-off meetings were held to address pressing global challenges and drive sustainability. Renowned institutions from various countries have joined forces to foster academia-industry collaboration and promote innovation in the fields of wastewater management, carbon neutrality, and sustainable transportation.

Between June 16 and July 3, 2023, three university consortia officially began their transregional collaboration by holding kick-off meetings with the partners. The consortia, known as R-TUNE, EnviroPComp, and GEnES, were among the seven winning teams of the Research and Education Program for the University Consortium or REd-UC.
