An excitement in Davao City as the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC) once again welcomed AUN-QA for the 323rd Programme Assessment. This assessment marked the second Programme Assessment for UIC, but the first one to be conducted on-site! This meant all the more excitement for our distinguished assessors as they paid a visit to this long-standing higher education institute of Davao City.

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is one of the leading national universities in Malaysia and has been highly ranked by QS University Ranking for many years. While remaining the premium university offering world-class education and research, UTM has widened its opportunities for continuous improvement by becoming part of ASEAN University Network - Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) and joining the 315th AUN-QA Programme Assessment, marking the very first time that UTM’s programmes were assessed under the AUN-QA frameworks.

AUN-QA is carrying the strong momentum of last year into 2023 by starting with three programme assessments at Holy Angel University (HAU), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and Central Luzon State University (CLSU). The team is back and ready to provide more top quality assessments for another year!

The AUN-QA team is continuing strong with site visits for Programme Assessments! The 308th AUN-QA PA at Ateneo de Manila University, the Philippines, marks the third time a site visit has been conducted ever since COVID lockdowns were relaxed quite recently. With three recently conducted within two months, AUN-QA is making sure to set a strong statement that site visits are back in full swing and they are ready for more in 2023!

The ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance team is back at it again! The site visits continue as strong as ever since Programme Assessments have returned to the standard on site process ever since the pandemic lockdowns have eased off. For the 305th PA, the AUN-QA team conducted a full site visit at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUTE) in Viet Nam. This will be the second time the team find themselves making their way to visit the assessed university on site, as well as the first time overseas, ever since 2020.

The last onsite AUN-QA Programme Assessment (PA) was in February 2020, and ever since the COVID-19 pandemic, the site visits were adapted to be online. After two years since the start of the lockdowns, the AUN-QA are proud to announce the return of site visits in the AUN-QA Programme Assessment! The 303rd Programme Assessment was one of the first to see the return of site visits at Mahidol University (MU), Thailand on 14 - 16 November, 2022. This is a major step towards our commitment to see further upcoming assessments return to onsite and improve AUN-QA PA to the next level with experiences learned and technology used from online assessments.
